Privacy policy
Short version: no accounts, no forms, no analytics and no ads. This page explains exactly what happens when you visit.
What the site collects
Nothing directly. Beyond Compounding has no accounts, sign-ups, comments, contact forms, analytics scripts or advertising. The framework explorer and the calculators run entirely in your browser: your answers aren't sent anywhere and aren't saved.
What your browser stores
The interactive guide saves two display settings in your browser's local storage, on your device only:
- bc-theme: light, dark or automatic colours.
- bc-mode: presentation view or scroll view.
These never leave your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them. The site sets no cookies.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information needed to deliver and protect a website, such as your IP address and browser details, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. The site owner can see aggregate statistics in Cloudflare's dashboard, such as the number of requests, which don't identify individual visitors.
Fonts
Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details to deliver the font files. Google describes how it handles this in its Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Advertising
The site doesn't show ads today. If ads are added, this policy will be updated before they appear, including what advertising cookies do and how to opt out of personalized ads.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to data providers and publications. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
The site is meant for adults learning about investing and isn't directed at children under 13. It doesn't collect personal information from anyone.
